This Privacy & POPIA Notice explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal information when you use www.digitalunbounded.com, complete a DU Navigator assessment, contact us, subscribe to communications, submit an enquiry, apply for an opportunity, or otherwise interact with us through our website.

For purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), Digital Unbounded (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website, unless another entity is expressly identified for a particular service. 3. Personal information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name and surname, organisation, role or job title, email address, telephone number, non-identifying Navigator answer IDs held temporarily in browser memory, controlled result and configuration-version IDs, information contained in an enquiry or support request, subscription preferences, recruitment information you choose to submit, and records of correspondence. We may also collect technical information generated when you use the website, including IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, access times, basic usage data, security logs and cookie identifiers where applicable. We will only collect information that is adequate, relevant and not excessive for the purpose for which it is processed.
4. How we collect personal information
We generally collect personal information directly from you when you complete a form, contact us, subscribe, communicate with us or otherwise provide information to Digital Unbounded. We may also receive information from our business systems, service providers, business partners or publicly available sources where this is lawful and appropriate. Where POPIA requires notification because information is collected from another source, we will take reasonably practicable steps to provide the required information.

We may process personal information to respond to enquiries and requests; provide information about our services, capabilities and platforms; manage prospective and existing business relationships; provide support; administer subscriptions and communications; assess recruitment or talent enquiries; operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website; understand website usage and performance; prevent fraud, misuse or security incidents; comply with legal, regulatory and contractual obligations; establish, exercise or defend legal rights; and carry out other purposes that are compatible with the purpose for which the information was collected.
6. Lawful justification for processing
Digital Unbounded processes personal information only where permitted by POPIA. Depending on the circumstances, processing may be based on your consent; may be necessary to conclude or perform a contract; may be required to comply with a legal obligation; may be necessary to protect a legitimate interest of a data subject; or may be necessary to pursue the legitimate interests of Digital Unbounded or a third party in a manner that does not unjustifiably infringe your privacy.
7. Direct marketing and communications
We will conduct direct marketing by electronic communications in accordance with POPIA. Where consent is required, we will request it before sending unsolicited electronic marketing. Where POPIA permits communications to an existing customer about our own similar products or services, we will provide a reasonable, free and uncomplicated opportunity to object. Marketing communications will identify the sender and provide a practical method to opt out.
8. Cookies and website technologies
The website may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for core site functionality, security and user preferences. Digital Unbounded takes appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against loss, damage, unauthorised destruction, unlawful access or unlawful processing. Security measures are reviewed and updated in response to reasonably foreseeable risks and changes in our environment. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, but we apply safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks involved.
12. Security compromises
If there are reasonable grounds to believe that personal information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, Digital Unbounded will investigate and, where required by POPIA, notify the Information Regulator and affected data subjects as soon as reasonably possible, subject to lawful restrictions and the circumstances of the incident.
13. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected or subsequently processed, to meet legal or contractual requirements, to establish or defend rights, or where another lawful retention basis applies. When we are no longer authorised to retain personal information, we will delete, destroy or de-identify it in a manner appropriate to the record and the applicable risk.
14. Your rights under POPIA
Subject to applicable law, you may request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you; request access to that information; request correction or deletion of information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained; request destruction or deletion of information we are no longer authorised to retain; object to certain processing on reasonable grounds; object to direct marketing; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. We may need to verify your identity before giving effect to a request.
15. Children and special personal information
The corporate website is not intended to collect personal information of children or special personal information unless this is necessary for a legitimate, authorised purpose and the applicable POPIA requirements are satisfied. Please do not submit such information through general website forms unless it is specifically requested for an authorised process.
